Eva Heyd

Born: 1953 Prague, Czech Republic
Studies: Journalism, Charles University, Prague
Until 1985: Photographer and journalist affiliated with magazine Czechoslovakian Architect
1985 – 2005: Living in USA

  • working as a freelance photographer for museums, galleries, art collectors, architects and designers in New York and on the East Coast
  • clients included Whitney Museum of American Art, PS 1, Museum of Art & Design (18 years), Hoya Crystal, etc.
Now: Freelance photographer in the Czech Republic and USA.
Actively engaged in artwork and artistic activities. In her art projects, she often uses the photographic image in connection with other media, especially glass.
She curates exhibitions and is the author of book publications.
She works with the non-profit organization Czech National Trust and is an active volunteer in the Rozmital Castle civic association.
